We are looking for a full time Mortgage Loan Originator &
Mortgage Loan Processor to work in our Desoto Home Mortgage office
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
Mortgage Loan Processor
The Mortgage Loan Processor is expected to manage and process through underwriting approval and into closing a pipeline of mortgage loan applications.
Should be highly skilled in all automated underwriting systems, Desktop Originator, Loan Prospector, and work in a paperless environment. Expected to have a comprehensive knowledge of underwriting and qualifying guidelines of all Client, FHLMC, VA and FHA loans.
As a Mortgage Loan Processor you are expected to follow all company policies and procedures as outlined by the company. Must be customer service oriented, communicating proficiently with borrowers, title agents, builders, real estate agents and co-team members especially Loan Consultants and Closers.
- Minimum two (2) years processing experience
- Proficiently process Conventional, FHA & VA loans
- Seasoned in the requirements of government financing to include the mortgage insurance/funding fee requirements, down payment, DTI and underwriting guidelines
- Familiar with and aware of the required FHA/VA application and builder disclosures
- Familiar with navigating through the FHA Connection and VA Portal
- Proficient with analyzing tax returns
- Understanding of FHA, VA, and Conventional underwriting appraisal requirements
- Ability to restructure loans
Mortgage Loan Officer / Loan Originator
The Mortgage Loan Officer / Loan Originator is expected to have knowledge of all aspects of mortgage transactions. Responsible for meeting and exceeding sale objectives through networking and sales activities. Maintaining existing customer
base while generating new business relationships.
Obtain new loan applications that result in qualified loans.
Request and gather relevant documentation from the borrower in coordination
with processing as well as underwriting.
Monitor the loan process and communicate effectively with the borrower and other relevant parties on the loan satus. Correct to status
Market loan products to all referral sources (Realtors, CPA's, financial planners,
past clients, and etc.).
Comply with local, state, and federal laws.
Maintain professional, friendly, courteous manner when dealing with clients,
both internal and external.
Maintain superior level of customer service by follow-up with customers and communicating with agency staff as needed.
Must have NMLS license.
Proven knowledge of loan related regulatory laws.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
